Since the 1960’s, Sarkis Lteif & Sons was founded as a small retail shop in Okaibe managed by Mr. Sarkis Lteif. The shop operated in the area for 30 years until the need to grow emerged.
Upon the growth of Sarkis’ eldest son Gaby, the father gave his son the blessing to expand the business. In 1994, Sarkis Lteif & Sons SARL was legally registered in Nahr-Ibrahim as a member of the chamber of commerce occupying a showroom of approximately 800 m2.
Since then, Lteif started to dedicate marketing budgets and adopted the Lteif slogan created by Lebanese comedian George Khabbaz: “Ya Latif Ya Lteif”, a jingle heard on every radio and engraved in the consumer’s head.
With a dedicated aftersales service, a friendly environment, competitive prices, and flexible credit facilities, the company flourished by goodwill and sales in 2009.
Along the need to grow, the business was at a major breakthrough, the opening of its new showroom on Jbeil Highway.
On July 2012, the idea became reality. Lteif opened the doors to its 4000m2 showroom, the biggest flat showroom for home appliances and electronics in Lebanon. The event featured around 1000 people, including key religious, political, artistic, and social figures.
From press to radio to TV, the media reported: “Lteif made it to the top list”.
In 2013, Lteif was registered as a Lebanese joint stock company under the corporation name: Sarkis Lteif & Sons SAL. The company pursued its initial commercial objective: general trade and especially electrical and home appliances trading. It also involves representing local and international brands mainly, and participates in concession and tender related to the objective of the company.
Ownership remained bound by family members.
Mr. Gaby Sarkis Lteif is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager having right sole of signature in virtue of a resolution of the council of the Board of directors. Miss. Lea Gaby Lteif is the Assistant General Manger, and has the rights of the General Manager mentioned in the company by-laws.
